CURB APPEAL

 

An important first step in marketing your home is increasing it’s curb appeal.   Curb appeal is what the buyer sees from the street and is the first impression he or she will have of your home.  Remember, the first impression sets the tone for the rest of the walk-through.  Your goal is to have the buyer view the house in a favorable light before they even get in the front door. 

 

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

  •   Cut lawns

  •   Trim trees, hedges and shrubs

  •   Weed and edge gardens

  •   Remove toys, garbage, garden tools etc. from view

  •   Clear snow and leaves

  •   Put out a new welcome mat

  •   Clean and polish the address numbers, door knocker, and light fixtures

  •   Sweep the front porch

 

FRONT DOOR

  •   Paint the front door and anything else that needs painting

  •   Clean and tidy foyer

  •   Does the doorbell work?

  •   Is the door hardware in good shape?
